Strong support for tackling the Corona virus and a common stance that citizens' health is a top priority
The President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski, accompanied by the Director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups, DarijanSotirovski, had a meeting with the Heads of the religious communities in the country, the Macedonian Orthodox Church - Ohrid Archbishopric, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia,His Beatitude Stefan, the Islamic Religious Community, Reis Ul Ulema Hadji Suleiman Effendi Redzhepi, the Catholic Church, Bishop of Skopje and the Eparchial Bishop of Strumica and Skopje, Mons. KiroStojanov, the Evangelical Methodist Church, President of the Church representative office, Emil Zaev.
At the meeting, they welcomed the measures and steps already taken by the Government in tackling the Coronavirus for the purpose of efficient protection of the health of the citizens.
They expressed their gratitude for Prime Minister Spasovski for the openness for cooperation and expressed their strong support to do everything possible to deal with the situation.
Prime Minister Spasovski briefed Heads of the religious communities on all important information concerning the measures taken by the government for protection of the health of all citizens, as a top priority.

Opportunities for maximum protection of the believers were discussed.
It is a common stance that the health of the citizens is a top priority and that everyone in the state, including the religious communities and believers, should be at a level of responsibility in order to contribute to preventing possible spread of the disease and its unintended consequences.
