The director of CRRCG, Mr. Darijan Sotirovski asked for enabling the right for the deceased as a result of Corona virus to be buried in a family grave in Tetovo and Gostivar
The Director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Religious Groups (CRRCG) Mr. Darijan Sotirovski requested enabling the right for deceased as a result of Corona virus to be buried in a family grave in Tetovo and Gostivar.
The notification from the director Sotirovski says:
As a citizen of Tetovo with shared concerns, today I talked to the Minister of Transport and Communications BlagojBochvarski, whom I informed that from our inspection of the burial of the dead Kovid 19 across the country, unlike other cities in Tetovo and Gostivar, it is mandatory in new graves, and not in family tombs with a centuries-old family tradition. I asked the minister in charge of this issue for equal treatment and revision of the same.
The Minister informed me that no such decision had been made and that by observing the protection protocols, the funeral operator could perform the burial in the family grave.
The Ministry, through the competent inspectorate, will ask the operators to provide this right to the citizens because they have acquired a license, which, in addition to rights, also implies obligations. I thank the Minister for his understanding.
Today I sent a Complaint to the State Communal Inspectorate and to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, requesting immediate action.
The conversation was preceded by a written request for reconsideration of this issue, which I sent to the General Coordination Crisis Headquarters of the Government on November 4, as well as a check of the situation in several cities and consultations with priests who perform burials.
I think that the traumas that families go through are certainly great, so burying a family member elsewhere in conditions of isolated remains with adequate material is unnecessary and causes additional anxiety.
