At the meeting, the newly elected head of the IRC was introduced, and the participants getting acquainted with the challenges that await him, congratulated him on his election, wishing him successful work in responsible management in his community, emphasizing the importance of opening the opportunity to continue cooperating in this format.
In this context, the meeting highlighted the importance of the constant cultivation of a culture of tolerance, high spirituality, respect and ethics in the relations between the confessions and in the public relations of all religious subjects.
Considering the seriousness of the coronavirus-induced pandemic threat, which is increasingly emerging as a global long-term problem, religious leaders have shared their thoughts on the challenges that await us all in the future, but also on what could have been done differently in the past as a concrete contribution to tackling this general problem.
After an extensive discussion, religious leaders appealed to all citizens to take a responsible attitude towards themselves and their loved ones, and to understand the danger of the virus as a real and serious threat to life and health. The tireless work of doctors and medical staff in dealing with this condition is worthy of respect and praise, and the most appropriate expression of gratitude for their work should be demonstrated in practice, respecting the measures imposed by the competent institutions.
Because we are in a pre-election period, religious leaders are using the opportunity to call for peaceful, free and democratic elections in the interests of the country's future.
