The Director of CRRCG, Mr. Darijan Sotirovski, visited the Nerezi Monastery and met with the Abbot Fr. Agathon.
On January 1, 2020, the Director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups (CRRCG), Mr. Darijan Sotirovski, visited the monastery complex dedicated to the Holy Martyr Pantelejmon in the village Gorno Nerezi (Skopje region), which is one of the five oldest Macedonian monasteries.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the abbot of the monastery, hieromonk Fr. Agathon, who introduced us to the history of the monastery and future projects for the progress of the monastery, which are the goal of the monastic fraternity.
This year, the list of projects for development of areas with specific development needs that the state supports through a program of the Ministry of Local Self-Government includes the project for conservation and restoration interventions and arrangement of this complex which is of great importance for the development of this ancient center.
